Social Media Marketer

We're hiring someone who lives on film Twitter. Wibely is where fans talk about movies, shows, books, games and music without ruining them for everyone else. Spoiler-free by design, opinionated by nature. We're small, we move fast, and we care a lot about getting the vibe right.

Remote (India) or Chennai · Full-time · 2 to 4 years experience

What you'll actually do

• Own the content calendar across all our channels: plan it, make it, ship it
• Write posts that sound like a person, not a brand deck
• Ride the news cycle: trailers, first-day-first-show reactions, finales, awards, casting rumours, book adaptations, game launches, new music drops, the lot
• Design quick-turn creatives and cut short-form video (Reels, Shorts, memes that land)
• Reply to comments and DMs like a community member, not a support ticket
• Spot creators and fan pages worth partnering with, and start those conversations
• Run campaigns around big releases and our own product launches
• Track what worked, kill what didn't, and tell us why in plain English
• Keep our app store presence and review responses sharp

What gets us excited about you

• 2 to 4 years running social for a brand, creator, or publication. Bonus points for entertainment, media, or a fan community
• You genuinely watch, read and play. Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Korean, Hollywood, a series you pre-order, a game you've sunk 200 hours into. Doesn't matter, you have takes and you can defend them
• You can write a caption in three tones and know which one fits the platform
• Comfortable in Canva or Figma and a video editor (CapCut, Premiere, whatever gets it done)
• You understand the difference between chasing a trend and forcing one
• Self-starting. We're a small team, so nobody will be assigning you daily tasks
• Analytics don't scare you, and you can read a dip without panicking

Nice to have

• Existing relationships with creators or fan communities in any medium
• Paid social experience
• Multilingual content chops
